Wind farms are spread across some parts of Europe and U.S. Unlike solar energy, wind generated power is restricted to areas with sufficient wind. It is especially well suited for areas that are generallyflat with little or no vegetation. This mean it can be challenging to produce sufficient wind generated electricity if you live in an area protected by mountains or tall trees. However it is possible to generate wind power enough to power several homes from just one wind farm with several wind turbines.

With current technology, there is even a newer source of renewable energy suitable for residential homes. It is called Magnetic electric generator. As the name implies, it is energy generated by use of magnetic forces. Magnetic power generator runs itself and in the process produces free energy which can then be turned to electricity for home use. The beauty of this technology is the fact that once a magnetic power generator starts running it will run continuously since it does not rely on any external power. It is still new, but like solar and wind power sources, it will soon be one of the main sources of clean energy.
