Small turbines ‘for your residence’ do not make as much noise as what is described above “as though somebody was mixing cement in the air”, etc.

It’s more like, “the wind moving past the buildings made more wind than the turbine, a mere 100ft away.” (USA Proven Energy 2.5kW turbine owner)

Large turbines with 300ft rotor diameters and massive gear boxes are not things that I would choose to live near. However, a small turbine sited in a good wind location on residential or agricultural property is something much more enticing. There’s a huge difference!
